About

I'm a BIM Software Developer with a background spanning civil engineering, architecture, and GIS. My work sits at the intersection of project delivery, computational design, and openBIM—turning real AEC constraints into reusable systems.

My career moves from execution to systems: models, then workflows, then information management and openBIM infrastructure. I care about ISO 19650–style discipline, BEP/MIDP/TIDP alignment where projects define them, and connectors (IFC, IDS, BCF) so data survives tool changes—plus computational design and honest AI only where it earns its place.

I've worked across landmark, high-complexity projects—Luxembourg EIB HQ, Barcelona Camp Nou Stadium, Kuwait International Airport—and built automation and parametric systems for design-to-fabrication. That mix gives me both the field perspective (what breaks on site) and the engineering mindset to scale solutions.

Practice pillars

How I group work—aligned with how complex programmes actually run: information first, then performance-driven geometry, then the code that binds tools, then AI where governance allows. The same structure appears on the home page under What I Do.

Information management

BIM as an information system: exchanges, responsibilities, and open standards—not only modelling.

  • ISO 19650-oriented naming, CDE use, and information delivery (MIDP / TIDP, BEP, matrices where the contract uses them)
  • BIM Execution Plans and governance that teams can run under real programme pressure
  • OpenBIM: IFC, IDS, BCF; validation and handoffs you can test, not only review visually
  • BIM–GIS links when geospatial context, assets, or environmental layers must align with the model
  • Tools: Revit, Navisworks, ACC / APS, Bexel Manager, Aconex-style CDE patterns

Computational design

Parametric geometry tied to structural and environmental performance—optimisation and simulation with interoperable outputs.

  • Structural parametric design and analysis-informed workflows (e.g. Karamba3D-class)
  • Environmental parametric design: Ladybug-class climate, radiation, daylight
  • Multi-objective optimisation (e.g. Wallacei) and trade-off exploration for design decisions
  • Simulation and data connectors: Speckle, APIs, Elefront-style fabrication data
  • Tools: Rhino / Grasshopper, Karamba3D, Ladybug Tools, Wallacei, Elefront

Development

Scripts, plug-ins, and web services that connect authoring tools to delivery and QA.

  • Grasshopper and Dynamo for production workflows (panelisation, QA, batch logic)
  • Revit / Rhino plug-ins and custom tools (C#, Python) where out-of-the-box stops
  • Web-based BIM apps and API-first backends (e.g. FastAPI, Rhino Compute)
  • Automation: Power Automate, PyRevit, batch export / federation / publish cadence
  • Stack: Python, C#, FastAPI, IfcOpenShell where geometry and IFC meet code

AI

LLMs and agents in AEC only with clear scope, traceability, and maintainability.

  • AI / ML folded into AEC workflows when data paths and ownership are explicit
  • LLM integration for specs, scripting help, and documentation—with human review
  • BIM agents and multi-step pipelines with checkpoints, not black-box autonomy
  • Rule-based validation and compliance checking alongside IFC / IDS pipelines

Want to connect?

I'm open to talk and swap ideas on information management (ISO 19650-style delivery, BEP/MIDP/TIDP, openBIM), computational design (parametric structure/environment, optimisation), development (Grasshopper, Dynamo, plug-ins, web BIM tools), and AI (LLMs, agents, validation). Reach out if something here resonates.
