About

I work on entity data: things in the world, their attributes, how they relate, and how all of that changes over time. I came to it through three degrees — civil engineering, architecture, and remote sensing & GIS — and I'm now a Product Manager at AI71 in Abu Dhabi.

A building information model and a spatio-temporal dataset are structurally the same object: georeferenced entities, attributes, relations, time. The difference is that a model is closed-world — the schema declares what may exist — and the world isn't. That makes validation the hard part, not extraction.

I've worked across landmark, high-complexity projects, Luxembourg EIB HQ, Barcelona Camp Nou Stadium, Kuwait International Airport, and built automation and parametric systems for design-to-fabrication. That mix gives me both the field perspective (what breaks on site) and the engineering mindset to scale solutions.

Each step nested inside the last rather than replacing it. The GIS degree in the middle is the one that made the rest transferable: once entities are georeferenced and time-stamped, it stops mattering whether they came from a model or from the world.

Practice pillars

Three sides, each backed by a degree and by work. They are not a career sequence. They are one problem approached from three directions.

Built environment

How buildings and infrastructure are actually designed, delivered, and modelled — and what breaks when the data doesn't survive the handover.

  • ISO 19650-oriented naming, CDE use, and information delivery (MIDP / TIDP, BEP, matrices where the contract uses them)
  • OpenBIM: IFC, IDS, BCF; validation and handoffs you can test, not only review visually
  • Parametric geometry tied to structural and environmental performance, with multi-objective optimisation for trade-offs
  • Tools: Rhino / Grasshopper, Revit, Navisworks, Karamba3D, Ladybug Tools, Wallacei

Spatial and temporal data

Entities with a location and a lifetime. Remote sensing and GIS taught me the hard question is never the geometry — it's whether the record is right.

  • BIM–GIS links when geospatial context, assets, or environmental layers must align with the model
  • Remote sensing and GIS: raster and vector workflows, urban thermal comfort (UTCI) analysis
  • Georeferenced entities with attributes, relations, and time — the same structure whether the record came from a model or from the world

Product and AI systems

Turning an applied-research result into something a team can ship, run, and check. Now as the person deciding what gets built.

  • Product ↔ engineering bridge: framing the problem, defining the framework, testing strategy, debugging pipelines
  • Multi-step LLM pipelines with checkpoints and human review, not black-box autonomy
  • Rule-based validation alongside model-based extraction
  • Stack: Python, C#, FastAPI, IfcOpenShell; API-first services and browser tools
